My membership with the
Yavapai Chapter of the Arizona Archaeological Society has brought a heightened dimension to my learning experience. I have participated in classes that qualify me for certification in both Archaeological Survey and in Archaeological Ceramic Analysis. I have completed the lecture and lab portions of each course and I'll participate in the combined field work in two months. I look forward to the practical application of the skills I have learned from the archaeologists in charge of the programs. I am particularly pleased to be one of only a handful of people anywhere who will be certified in the analysis of a new pottery designation, the Fitzmaurice Series. I have no doubt that my affiliation with the YCAAS will be an on-going educational experience throughout my life.
